I remember when my views were considered moderate.  That was before the corporate media dragged the "center" to the extreme right. However,
seeing what passes for conservatism these days, and how the
conservatives I grew up under could be, I now wear the
labels of Progressive and Liberal as a badge of honor.
For the conservatives have stripped the word "liberal" of all meaning in their use of it as a pejorative, and it no longer automatically points to the more extreme elements it used to. |
